People’s Resource Center
The People’s Resource Center offers resources to people seeking a food pantry, computer access and training, help with literacy (including ESL classes), clothing, job assistance, art experience, and more.  Located at 201 S. The West Suburban Community Pantry is an emergency food pantry serving those in need in   DuPage County. Incorporated in 1992 as an outreach to the Village of Woodridge, the pantry grew to serve five additional communities – Darien, Downers Grove, Lisle, Westmont, and part of Bolingbrook.  In 2010, its services became available to all of DuPage County.  The pantry provides both food and supportive programming, all free of charge.  Pantry hours for food distribution are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon, and Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m..  Clients should bring a picture ID and a current month’s utility bill showing address. Donations are accepted Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

In addition to food, the pantry offers free classes in English as a Second Language, GED preparation, nutrition, and child safety classes which include free carseats.  Please see the pantry website at www.wcpinc.org for more information, or call (630) 512-9921.  The pantry is located at 6809 Hobson Valley Drive, Unit 118, just one block west of Route 53 and one block north of Hobson Road.
